The production of more than 3,000 km of copper cable per year is planned to be established in Transbaikalia with state support

The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) and company “Zabaikabel” signed a cooperation agreement at the Eastern Economic Forum to establish copper cable production in the “Zabaikalye” priority development area. FEDC will support the investor in obtaining preferential treatment status. Production is planned to be launched in the second quarter of 2025. "Projects for the production of wires and cable products for electronic and electrical equipment are important not only for the Far East, but for the entire country, helping to supply Russian industry with important materials. In addition to assigning the status of a resident of the “Zabaikalye” Priority Development Area and providing benefits and preferences of this economic regime, we will assist in finding partners," said Andrey Sharafutdinov, Managing Director of the FEDC.
