The “Hektar” program helps to strengthen the friendship between the peoples of Kamchatka

Nadezhda Tikhonova, a participant in the “Hektar” program from the Kamchatka Region, built an ethno-sports complex on her site, which serves as a venue for the national Kalmyk holiday “Dzhangariada”. Moreover, there is an archery school, folk art festivals and regional sports competitions are also held here. In addition to holding mass events, the owners are engaged in harvesting wild plants, collecting local seasonal delicacies: wild garlic, ferns, mushrooms, berries, healthy herbal teas. Nadezhda shared details about the implementation of the project with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (FEDC). “Representatives of 134 nationalities live in our region. I am from Kalmykia; I have been living in Kamchatka for many years. I participate in the work of the regional public organization "Commonwealth", and we want our peoples - Kalmyks, Koryaks, Chukchi, Evens and everyone who was born or moved to Kamchatka, to learn more about each other, get acquainted with the culture and make friends with each other, thanks to our hectares,” said Nadezhda Tikhonova.
