Since July 2024, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev, together with the Far Eastern and Arctic regions, have been working to involve additional land areas in the “Hectare” program. As a result of this work, the territory available for provision has increased by 843 thousand hectares already in the first quarter of 2025.
Gasan Gasanbalaev, Executive Director of the FEDC for Social Development: "We see a continuing increase in demand for "hectares". This year, citizens have already submitted over 12,000 applications for land in the Far East and the Arctic, so newly available lands will become a point of attraction for thousands of families and entrepreneurs ready to implement their projects - build a house, start a business, create or develop agriculture. Work on involving additional lands in the program will continue."
