"Priority 2030. Far East": universities of Transbaikal and Tomsk regions join efforts to train engineers of intelligent telecommunication systems

Transbaikal State University (TSU, Chita) and Tomsk University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUCSR, Tomsk) have signed an agreement to launch a joint network educational program from September 2025. Its goal is to train highly qualified new generation engineers capable of developing, implementing and servicing modern mobile communication systems that meet the requirements of the digital economy and the telecommunications industry. At TSU, the development of partnership projects and the implementation of network training programs is carried out within the framework of the university development program “Priority 2030. Far East”. The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) is participating in the implementation of this program. The new course "Mobile Communication Systems" in the educational section "Infocommunication Technologies and Communication Systems" will open for applicants in the next admissions campaign. The curriculum includes courses in signal handling, next-generation mobile network design and operation, wireless technologies, and the Internet of Objects. Particular attention will be paid to practical training: students will master modern tools and methods under the guidance of experienced mentors.
