The deadline for applications for the “Crystal Compass” National Award has been extended until March 15

In 2026, one of the world's most prestigious geography awards, the “Crystal Compass” Prize, will be presented for the 14th time. It recognizes outstanding achievements and research in geography, ecology, and related sciences that have made significant contributions to the preservation of natural, historical, and cultural heritage and to the development of society. The application deadline has been extended until March 15, 2026.

Over the years, the “Crystal Compass” has brought together scientists, travelers, researchers, environmentalists, journalists, and public figures whose work is changing our understanding of human capabilities and our responsibility to the planet.

"Every year, the “Crystal Compass” Prize uncovers new names and ideas that are valuable to the entire world. The Prize community now includes representatives from over 50 countries. Each year, the projects become more ambitious, profound, and diverse. This demonstrates that the Prize resonates with the professional community and the general public," noted Ivan Chaika, Chairman of the Crystal Compass National Prize Organizing Committee.
