The presentation of the “Arctic Floating University” of NAFU will take place during “Science Day” at the exhibition-forum “Russia”
On February 17, “Science Day” will be held at the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” at VDNKh. The organizers of the event are the Ministry of Eastern Development of Russia, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic (FEDC). The achievements of leading universities in the Far East and Arctic, new university projects within the framework of the strategic leadership programs “Priority 2030” and “Priority 2030. Far East” will be presented during expert sessions, discussions, and lectures.
Experts and representatives of higher education from the Far Eastern Federal District and Russian Arctic regions will speak to the guests. Director of the Arctic Center for Strategic Studies of the Northern Arctic Federal University (NAFU) Alexander Saburov will talk about the “Arctic Floating University” project, Arctic research and the work experience of scientists in the Arctic. Guests will be able to take part in the “Feel like a Polar Explorer” quiz, take a virtual dive into the Arctic using VR glasses and watch a mini-film about the Franz Josef Land archipelago.
