New ships are being built in the Far East as part of an investment program for crab quotas, which are provided to winners of crab auctions in exchange for a commitment to build crab fishing ships at shipyards in Russia. As part of the crab catch quotas, Nakhodka Shipyard JSC signed eight contracts for the construction of eight crab fishing vessels with equipment for storing live crab and improved seaworthiness. Particular attention in the project is paid to the economy (fuel efficiency) of ships.
