Yuri Trutnev held a meeting of the Presidium of the Government Commission on the issues of socio-economic development of the Far East

Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev held a meeting of the Presidium of the Government Commission on the Socioeconomic Development of the Far East. The agenda included a discussion of the implementation of investment projects applying for state support in the form of preferential financing from the state development corporation VEB.RF. Based on the results of the analysis of the portfolio of investment projects planned for implementation in the Far East and the Arctic, a list of nine projects that meet the criteria and need to open financing in the first and second quarters of the current year has been compiled. As reported by Artem Dovlatov, Deputy Chairman of VEB.RF, projects from six Far Eastern regions were reviewed and supported for the provision of preferential financing from VEB.RF with a total budget of over 100 billion rubles. The discussion focused on changing the mechanism for providing state support to legal entities implementing investment projects in the Far East, in terms of reimbursing the costs incurred for infrastructure development. The proposal to change the mechanism for providing infrastructure support to legal entities was submitted for consideration by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East. It was proposed to support investment projects worth from 1 to 500 billion rubles. In order to reduce the time frame for providing the subsidy, documents will be submitted by investors once, as part of the application for the competition. Infrastructure facilities must be commissioned before the application for the competition is submitted and built no earlier than three years before the selection date. The size of the subsidy will be no more than 2 billion rubles per year per investment project, taking into account the budget multiplier of 1 to 10.
