The proposals of the FEDC on the development of local energy were discussed at the International Conference “System Research in Energy”

The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) took part in the International Conference "System Research in Energy - 2025" and the 10th Melentyev Readings dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the L.A. Melentyev Energy Systems Institute of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the 40th anniversary of the Energy Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. As part of the event, a joint report by FEDC, the Russian Energy Agency of the Ministry of Energy of Russia and Tomsk Polytechnic Institute on improving the efficiency of local energy investment projects was presented.

According to Maxim Gubanov, Head of the Energy and Housing and Public Utilities Department of the FEDC, the approved documents of strategic planning on the sectoral and territorial principle have laid the necessary foundation, while the practical implementation of such projects with the attraction of private investment requires a great deal of preparatory work on the part of state development institutions to improve sectoral legislation and remove administrative barriers, technological development and the creation of the necessary support measures.

"On the basis of the created Project Center for the Development of Local Engineering Infrastructure, we combined the competencies of the FEDC on the development of the macroregion, the REA of the Ministry of Energy of Russia on the development of the fuel and energy complex and the “EnergyNet” Center in the field of new energy technologies and launched practical activities to create IRES within the framework of several pilot projects. Our initiative has a direct contribution to the solution of the state task of spatial development, therefore it was supported by the Federation Council and presented at the presidential session on energy within the framework of the 10th Eastern Economic Forum," said Maxim Gubanov.
