The government has expanded the “Far Eastern and Arctic Mortgage” program while maintaining the key terms of the program

The Russian government continues to develop a preferential housing loan mechanism in the Far East and the Arctic. Pursuant to the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation issued following the 2025 Eastern Economic Forum, a decision was made to expand the "Far Eastern and Arctic Mortgage" program while maintaining its key financial parameters. The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) oversees the implementation of the preferential lending program.

Alexey Chekunkov, Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, emphasized that the program's expansion makes improved housing conditions accessible to more residents of the Far Eastern and Arctic regions, enhances the social impact, and supports the territorial infrastructure development. He added that the updated program parameters will provide an additional incentive to attract qualified personnel to the Far East.
