Preliminary results of the Eastern Economic Forum - 2024 have been summed up

In Vladivostok, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev summed up the preliminary results of the three days of the IX Eastern Economic Forum. "The IX Eastern Economic Forum is nearing its end. The current forum, in fact, breaks the records of previous forums. This year, more than 7 thousand people fr om 75 countries, including 16 unfriendly countries, are taking part in the forum. For comparison, last year 62 countries were represented. Traditionally, representatives of government and business communities of large developed countries come to the Eastern Economic Forum, realizing that it is here that they can figure out wh ere, in fact, the Asia-Pacific region, a strategic region of the world, will move. One of the important aspects of the forum is the signed agreements. Here, too, there is a record: 258 agreements have been signed for a total of 5 trillion 395 billion rubles," noted Yuri Trutnev. The Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, Alexey Chekunkov, announced a number of major agreements signed at the forum, highlighting among them the agreements on the creation of a chemical complex in the Komi Republic; the attraction of scientific and engineering teams within the framework of the Russian Scientific and Technical Center; and the construction of a timber processing complex in the Sakhalin Region.
