The results of the 2nd National Film Awards for outstanding achievements and contributions to the development of the film industry in the Russian Far East (hereinafter referred to as the Far Eastern Film Awards) were announced in Ulan-Ude. The three-day business and cultural program of the Film Awards took place in the capital of Buryatia from October 3rd to 6th. The Yakut film "Legends of Eternal Snows" was named best feature film, the Kamchatka film "Test of the North" won the award for best debut, and the animated film "Munkha" won the short film category.
The awards ceremony took place at the N.A. Bestuzhev State Russian Drama Theater, accompanied by the National Orchestra of the Republic of Buryatia, led by conductor Zhargal Toktonov, and featuring the republic's creative groups. Actress Agniya Kuznetsova and renowned Buryat actor, director, and producer Bulat Tsydenesheev hosted the ceremony.
The Far Eastern Film Award is a professional award recognizing outstanding achievements in cinematography and exceptional professional contributions to the development of the film industry in the Russian Far East. The project was established by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Republic of Buryatia, and the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.
The Far Eastern Film Award is implemented by the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, the “Youth Initiatives” Production Center”, the “Golden Raven” Center for the Development and Support of Cultural Projects, the “Creative Industries Center”, and the “Social Initiatives Development Foundation”.
