Transport and logistics center to be constructed in Primorsky Region

A new transport and logistics center is to be constructed in Primorsky Region, with a capacity of up to 300,000 20-foot containers a year. The agreement on the implementation of the project was signed on June 17 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, between the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the Government of Primorsky Region, Russian Railways JSC, the Russian Far East and Arctic Development Corporation and Freight Village Primorsky LLC.

The Center will be located near the Vozdvizhensky railway station, in the territory of the Advanced Special Economic Zone (ASEZ) Mikhaylovsky. The new facility will help relieve the pressure on sea ports and create additional capacity for the unloading of cargo arriving by road from China. The facility will begin operation in 2024.
