Plans for the development of Far Eastern cities were discussed at the “Russia” exhibition as part of the Day of the Far East and the Arctic

On May 24, at the international exhibition and forum “Russia”, as part of the Day of the Far East and the Arctic, a plenary session “The Far East and the Arctic – the future of Russia!” was held. The session was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Irina Yarovaya, Head of the Ministry of Eastern Development Alexey Chekunkov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation for the development of the Far East and Arctic Nikolai Kharitonov, and governors of the Far Eastern regions. Experts discussed plans for the development of the Far East and the implementation of 25 master plans for cities adopted on behalf of President Vladimir Putin. “Master plans are a public promise from the authorities to millions of Far Eastern residents. This is an unprecedented project, this is a promise that we are obliged to fulfill. The resources included in the master plans are very ambitious, serious work is needed. We are together, and we will win so that millions of Far Easterners receive all the objects we promised on the list,” said Alexey Chekunkov, Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic.
