High-tech pilot production of blood glucose monitoring systems and diabetic test strips will soon be launched at the pilot site of the Innovative Scientific and Technological Center (ISTC) "Russkiy". The glucometers will be manufactured by the company "Medpharm", which has already received the status of a resident of the ISTC "Russkiy". The full-cycle enterprise will provide the Russian market with high-quality and affordable medical products and reduce dependence on the foreign market.
According to the Russian Ministry of Health, there are more than 5 million people with diabetes in the country. Such patients need to constantly monitor their blood sugar levels to reduce the risk of developing long-term complications, such as damage to nerves, kidneys, eyes, and cardiovascular diseases. People with diabetes can quickly and independently check their health thanks to glucometers - blood glucose monitoring systems.
The company has developed a unique technology for producing test strips based on GOD and GDH-FAD enzymes and is constantly improving production processes and technology to improve the quality characteristics of the product. The production process itself eliminates the release of small polymer particles, and at room temperature the carbon material does not release toxic substances and does not have a harmful effect on the human body upon direct contact.
