The prospects for creating an international priority development area in the Amur Region were discussed at the National Center "Russia"

A strategic session dedicated to the development of the “Rovnoye” prospective site of the “Amurskaya” ASEZ and the creation of the International ASEZ was held in Moscow during Amur Region Week, held at the National Center "Russia" as part of the "Region-2030" presentations of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Organized by the FEDC “Amurskaya” (a subsidiary of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation), the event was attended by representatives of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, the Federation Council, FEDC, as well as Russian and Chinese entrepreneurs.

“The law on the International ASEZ will come into force on January 1, 2026. The mechanism was created to attract investors from China, India, Southeast Asian countries, and the Middle East. Residents of the preferential regime will be provided with the most favorable conditions: all Far Eastern tax incentives and preferences, a free customs zone, infrastructure and administrative support in a one-stop shop, confidentiality, and other tools. The Amur Region, with its powerful resource and geographic potential, will be one of the first platforms to launch this mechanism, and our current work is aimed at developing practical steps for the successful launch of pilot projects," noted Vitaly Altabaev, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic.

Participants in the strategic session discussed in detail the key features and differences of the new mechanism, and also examined the potential for implementing investment projects in the International ASEZ in the Amur Region.
