The winners of the IV Competition of the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment for the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District have been announced

The winners of the IV Competition of the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment for municipalities in the territories of the subjects of the Russian Federation that are part of the Far Eastern Federal District were announced at the All-Russian Forum "Development of Small Towns and Historical Settlements". They were presented by the head of the Ministry of Construction of Russia Irek Faizullin. In the Far East, the work on implementing state programs and federal target programs aimed at the comprehensive renovation of cities is supervised by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC).

Over the entire period of the competition, 1,609 winning projects from 924 municipalities were selected. In 2025, 424 applications were submitted to the All-Russian competition, and 103 applications to the competition for the Far Eastern Federal District regions. Based on the results of the evaluation in 2025, 294 winners were determined: 240 for the All-Russian competition and 54 for the competition for the Far Eastern Federal District regions.

The main criteria for evaluating the projects were the quality of architectural solutions, preservation of the historical, urban planning and natural environment, demand among residents, synchronization of new objects with national projects and state programs, as well as clear and predictable economic and social effects. Additional state support for the winning projects will allow the construction of even more objects that people need in large cities, historically significant settlements, and small towns in the Far East.
