A new plant in Arkhangelsk will begin producing ultra-high-strength concrete for the construction of buildings and structures in the Far North

“SP-Beton”, a resident of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF), is expanding its operations as a research and production enterprise under an agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC). As part of a new investment project, the company will launch a production line for two experimental types of concrete—featuring enhanced strength and frost resistance—to test their performance in the Far North. The project, which entails a planned investment of 28 million rubles, is scheduled for completion in December 2026.

“The Arctic is a region where the climate demands specialized solutions—including in the construction of buildings and structures. The launch of a new plant to produce concrete with unique properties and test it in structural applications for future implementation marks a step toward the further technological advancement of Arctic infrastructure. State support measures available to AZRF residents help make business economics more profitable for investors and facilitate the timely launch of enterprises essential to the Arctic regions," emphasized Anastasia Zhuk, Director of the Department for Investment Project Implementation Support for the AZRF.
