"Today, the cargo terminal provides a full range of services for aircraft loading and terminal handling of incoming and outgoing cargo, including hazardous and perishable items. To meet current demand and ensure sustainable development of cargo transportation, the complex requires reconstruction. The implementation of the investment project will improve the quality of cargo handling, expand the range of services provided, and increase the attractiveness of the aviation hub for airlines and logistics operators," said Alexander Zubarev, Managing Director of Airport-Service JSC.
The new cargo terminal will increase the airport's cargo throughput to 26,000 tons by 2030, and to 35,000 tons by 2040. Currently, the existing infrastructure can handle approximately 18,000 tons of cargo.
