The new resident of the “Zabaikalye” Priority Development Area will begin mining ore and producing antimony concentrate in 2027

The mining company "Solonechenskoye" will build a modern enterprise in the "Zabaikalye" ASEZ to develop the Solonechenskoye antimony deposit. The commissioning of production is planned for 2027. The product will be commercial antimony concentrate with an antimony content of more than 50%, it is planned to produce more than 9 thousand tons of products per year. The raw materials are used in the production of durable metals, medical products, semiconductors, fireproof fabrics, etc. According to the agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), capital investments in the project will amount to 1.7 billion rubles, and 258 jobs will be created. The company is considering the possibility of further developing the project by building a metallurgical processing plant, which will make it possible to obtain pure antimony from antimony concentrate. "The new enterprise will become one of the notable points of economic and social growth in the Far East, will increase the production and export potential of the entire country. The priority development area regime will allow the project to achieve the best financial and economic results and actively develop in the future due to tax breaks and administrative preferences. We provide comprehensive support to the project at all stages of implementation," said Dina Arkhipenko, Director of the FEDC “Zabaikalye”.
