A new resident of the Chukotka ASEZ will build facilities at the Baimsky GOK

On December 28, in Moscow, the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (KRDV) and LLC Chukottsvetmetstroy (CHUKOTKA NON-FERROUS METAL CONSTRUCTION LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY) signed an agreement on the implementation of a project for the construction of facilities for the Baimsky Mining and Processing Plant in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. An annual processing capacity of the plant is about 70 million tons of ore. The volume of private investments will amount to 2.7 billion rubles; the launch of the project is designed to employ 3.9 thousand people.

The project is aimed at the construction of Baimsky GOK facilities for the development of the “Peschanka” porphyry copper deposit, which is the northernmost of the largest deposits in the world. The development of the Baimskaya area is the most important stage in the implementation of the strategy for the socio-economic development of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug until 2030. The largest investment project in the region. These are thousands of jobs already at the construction stage, and during implementation - a significant increase in the income of the region and the corresponding opportunities for the implementation of social programs.
