The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) and Svobodnenskaya TES-2 LLC signed an agreement on the implementation of activities in the “Amurskaya” ASEZ. The new resident's investment project is aimed at the construction of a thermal power plant based on a combined-cycle plant with an installed capacity of 450 MW, running on natural gas. It is planned to sell electricity on the wholesale market. The project will also contribute to the electrification of the Eastern Polygon of Railways. The construction of a new power plant on the territory adjacent to the existing Svobodnenskaya TPP in the Amur Region, also created with the support of the ASEZ regime, will increase the total capacity of the two stations to 610 MW.
According to the Director of FEDC “Amurskaya” Irina Volkova, the rapid socio-economic development of the region requires an annual increase in the consumption of electric power. The creation of new capacities is a necessary element of the development of energy infrastructure. The FEDC provides systemic support to business and creates comfortable conditions for entrepreneurs, allowing to increase the economic efficiency of projects.
The facility is scheduled to be commissioned at the end of 2028. Upon completion of construction, approximately 130 people will be employed.
