New resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok will open import-substituting production of motor vehicles in Primorye

The “Vostochny Forpost” company, as a resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok (FPV), has begun implementing a project to create import-substituting production of vehicles - cars and trucks, buses, vans, trailers and semi-trailers. The first production is scheduled for 2026. By 2027, the production capacity will be 20 vehicles per month. According to the agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), 31 million rubles are being invested in the project. Vadim Chizhikov, CEO of “Vostochny Forpost”, noted that the concept of the project involves the construction of a production site for large-unit assembly of vehicles from finished components. The organization of production will be an important step in creating tangible competition for imported analogues in the domestic industry. "The organization of new production of vehicles will cover the needs of residents of Primorsky Region for high-quality and affordable passenger cars and representatives of medium-sized businesses for commercial transport. The project is aimed at supporting the local market and developing the regional economy. The investment project also plans to provide services for the repair and replacement of load-bearing structures of vehicles. This will significantly extend the service life of equipment, ensuring its reliability and safety. Tax benefits received in the status of a resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok will reduce the costs of launching and developing production, which will make the final cost of products and services more affordable for consumers," said Vadim Chizhikov.
