A new KIRF resident will launch mineral water production on Kunashir Island

The preferential treatment on the Kuril Islands of the Russian Federation (KIRF) has been expanded with a new project for the production and sale of bottled drinking water. “Kurilskiye Istochniki” (Kuril Springs), a company with the support of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), will establish the new facility on Kunashir Island. Private investment totals 50 million rubles. The investor has received the right to apply tax incentives for 20 years. The company will launch its first product in 2029.

The project is being implemented at mineral water wells in the village of Dubovoye in the Yuzhno-Kurilsk Urban District. JSC “Kurilskiye Istochniki” will lease the premises, adapt them, and equip them with drinking water bottling equipment. The products are planned to be supplied to retail chains in the Russian Federation, the HoReCa segment (hotels and restaurants), and for export.
