A new resident of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation will invest 13.6 million rubles in the creation of a sports yacht club

The “Arctic Yacht Club” company plans to open a water sports center in Arkhangelsk. It will bring together yacht and boat owners and promote sailing, motorboating, and tourism in the region. Under an agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), the total investment will amount to 13.6 million rubles and create seven jobs.

"Arkhangelsk is Russia's premier seaport and the cradle of domestic shipbuilding. By implementing this project, we want to showcase the city's uniqueness and its potential not only as a manufacturing, trade, and economic hub, but also as a center for water sports and tourism. Our club will become a berthing, storage, and repair facility for small vessels used in tourism, sailing competitions, and themed events. This will increase the accessibility of this type of recreation, foster interest in water sports among young people and local residents, and attract tourists and yachtsmen to the city," emphasized Vadim Volotskoy, General Director of the “Arctic Yacht Club”.

The Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation is the largest special economic zone in the world. It offers tax breaks and administrative preferences for its residents: preferential rates on corporate property, land, and profit taxes for the first 10 years. A 75% subsidy on insurance premiums for newly created jobs is also provided for 10 years. One of the advantages of doing business in the Arctic Zone is the free customs zone regime, the provision of state- and municipally owned land plots without tender, and other preferences.
