New residents of the Russian Arctic in Chukotka will invest more than 3 billion rubles in the exploration and development of gold and silver deposits

The «ArcticGeolDobycha» and «GOLDARCTIC» companies became residents of the Russian Arctic Zone (AZRF) with projects for the exploration and development of gold and silver deposits in the Arctic zone of the Chukotka Autonomous Region. The total investment in projects under agreements with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (FEDC) will amount to more than 3 billion rubles. About 200 people will be employed at the new enterprises.

“By the end of 2022, new residents will obtain the necessary licenses and permits. Geological exploration and field development will begin in 2023. Until 2027, the production of precious metals will amount to about 400 kilograms - each enterprise will produce from 16 to 50 kilograms per year,”- said Sergey Kolyadko, a representative of the FEDC.
