“New Ore Company” will invest more than 10 billion rubles in the development of gold mining in Magadan
The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) and Susumanskaya Ore Company” LLC, part of the management company “New Ore Company” LLC, entered into an agreement on cooperation in the implementation of investment projects for gold mining in the Magadan region - the “Magadan Mining Cluster”. The investor plans to invest more than 10 billion rubles in the implementation of field development projects; about 500 Far Eastern residents will receive work.
The document was signed during the VIII Eastern Economic Forum by Kirill Kamenev, Deputy General Director for Investment Promotion of the FEDC, and Boris Tropkin, Executive Director of “New Ore Company” LLC.
The implementation of the “Kedrovoye” and “Verkhne-Khakchanskoye” projects, which form the basis of the “Magadan cluster”, will last until 2043. Expected gold reserves are 150 tons; expected gold production is about 5 tons per year. Construction of the factory is planned for 2026.
