At the "January hearings," the results of the implementation of master plans for 25 cities in the Far East were summarized

The results of the master plan implementation for 25 cities in the Far East were discussed at the annual meeting held by Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, dedicated to the socioeconomic development of the Far East and the Arctic and the formulation of priorities for 2026 (the "January Hearings"). Elvira Nurgalieva, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, presented a report on the progress and results of the Far Eastern city renewal program.

Master plans for cities in the Far East have been developed as a systemic tool for regional development, ensuring coordinated planning and implementation of federal, regional, and extra-budgetary projects. Based on these plans, long-term comprehensive socio-economic development plans for 25 cities in the Far Eastern Federal District have been approved. These documents cover key areas, including the construction and renovation of transport, utilities, and social infrastructure, modern housing, the improvement of public spaces, and other urban economic development measures. The implementation of master plans in the macroregion is overseen by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), and the Federal Autonomous Institution "Vostokgosplan."

As Elvira Nurgalieva noted, the key achievement of the current stage was the formation of a sustainable financial base for the implementation of the master plans. To date, funding sources totaling 1.7 trillion rubles have been identified, and 1.4 trillion rubles have already been allocated for implementation. Overall, the program's funding through 2030 has been secured: the next three budget cycles will allow us to consistently increase the level of funding for the projects to 100%.
