The Day of the Far East and Arctic will be held at the exhibition “Russia”
On January 24, 2024, the Day of the Far East and the Arctic will be held at the “Russia” exhibition at VDNKh. There will be a series of events, expert sessions, discussions, lectures dedicated to the strategically important regions of our country, the development of which has been defined by Russian President Vladimir Putin as a priority for the entire 21st century.
The Far East and Arctic Day program includes several thematic blocks. The opening ceremony and plenary session will be attended by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev, Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic Alexey Chekunkov, representatives of federal authorities, governors of the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District and the Russian Arctic, heads of major companies, implementing investment projects in various industries.
At the plenary session and expert sessions, participants will discuss the achievements and development of the locomotive industries: mining, fishing, logistics, petrochemicals, construction, tourism, space and the Northern Sea Route. At VDNKh, agreements will be signed on the implementation of new projects in the Far East and the Arctic in agriculture, housing construction, industry, and aircraft manufacturing. During the day, VDNH will host thematic expert sessions and round tables on the development of entrepreneurship, tourism, logistics, urban infrastructure, and ecology.
