A world-class academic town, the “Muravyov-Amursky Pacific Scientific and Technological Valley”, is planned for construction in a satellite city of Vladivostok for institutes of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. A letter of intent was signed at the Eastern Economic Forum by Nikolai Zapryagaev, Director General of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), and Academician Yuri Kulchin, Chairman of the FEB RAS. Alexey Chekunkov, Minister for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, participated in the signing ceremony.
The project's implementation will create a scientific cluster in the Far East with a developed infrastructure for fundamental and applied research, foster cooperation among Russian scientists, and stimulate joint, cutting-edge, world-class developments.
