At the 2026 Eastern Economic Forum, FEDC concluded 15 agreements in the field of mineral extraction and processing worth almost 1 trillion rubles

At the 11th Eastern Economic Forum, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) signed 15 agreements in the field of mineral extraction and advanced processing. These large-scale projects will be implemented in seven regions of the Far East, including the Primorsky, Transbaikal, and Kamchatka Regions, the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), the Republic of Buryatia, the Magadan Region, and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.

"The mining sector is the foundation of the macroregion's economy, generating a significant portion of the region's gross regional product (GRP), tax revenues, and investment attractiveness. One of the priorities for the Far East's socioeconomic development is increasing mineral extraction and, most importantly, increasing the depth of processing. The agreements signed at the forum fully address this objective. The investment projects are aimed at aligning the development of processing industries with the mining sector, which will ensure the localization of high-margin products in the Far East. As a result, the macro-region will receive over 911 billion rubles in investment and 13,100 new jobs," noted Kirill Kamenev, Deputy Director General of the FEDC for Investment Attraction.
