Ways to increase the attractiveness of Far Eastern museums were discussed at the EEF-2025

The session "Museum Far East: from idea to model" was held in Vladivostok as part of the Eastern Economic Forum. Its participants discussed how modern technologies can increase the attractiveness of museums and historical sites and what conditions have been created for the development of large projects in the field of culture and tourism. The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) acted as the organizer of the session.

According to Elvira Nurgalieva, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, museums in the Far East are institutions that directly influence the infrastructural and cultural development of cities and the self-perception of their residents, as well as the entire demographics of the Far Eastern Federal District.

"Today, our museums are not only keepers of knowledge and artifacts, but also active participants in the development of their cities. Seeing this potential, we began implementing joint projects together with the Russian Ministry of Culture. Far Eastern museums presented projects aimed at developing the territory, supporting families and creating new tourist routes. We plan to continue this practice, provide project expertise and together achieve significant results for the development of cities," noted Elvira Nurgalieva.
