The “Khabarovsk” ASEZ will establish production of filament for 3D printing of drone parts

“Khabarovsk Mechanical Plant” (KhMP LLC) is implementing a project in the “Khabarovsk” ASEZ to establish high-tech filament (thermoplastic) production for 3D printing components for unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The total investment under the agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) is 7.4 million rubles. The project is scheduled to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2026, with full capacity expected to be reached in 2027.

The plant's design capacity will be 6 tons of filament per month, or up to 72 tons per year. Its primary products will be PLA and PETG filaments—key materials for additive manufacturing.

"Part of the finished production volume has already been reserved for a long-term contract with a partner, and we are also ready to discuss production volumes with all potential customers," said Pavel Streltsov, CEO of KhMP LLC. "Obtaining resident status in the “Khabarovsk” ASEZ will allow us to make the production of high-quality filament cost-effective. Tax incentives and support from the FEDC provide us with the opportunity to compete with foreign suppliers and specifically develop the production of specialized materials critical to the domestic drone industry."
