Participants of the expert session on Sakhalin discussed effective formats of additional vocational education for teachers in the Far East

An expert session on the presentation and vindication of programs for the development of additional professional education for teachers in the Far Eastern Federal District has begun in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk at the “SakhalinTechCenter”. The event is being held by the V. S. Lednev Institute for the Content and Methods of Teaching on behalf of the Russian Ministry of Education with the support of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and with the participation of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC).

"The key objective of the session is expert discussion and protection of regional programs aimed at developing educational policy institutions, improving the level of teachers and introducing new effective teaching formats into the educational process. The presented programs consider the strategic objectives of each region of the Far Eastern Federal District, their socio-economic characteristics, as well as new challenges facing the education system. An expert session of this type is being held in the country for the first time. The Far East with its agenda of developing general education is in this sense a flagship region, setting trends for other subjects," noted Kirill Klimenko, Director of the Department of Human Resources Development of the FEDC.
