On Sakhalin, a new resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok will open production of electrical equipment for the oil and gas, energy and mining industries

The new resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok (FPV), the company "ChEEP - Far East", is implementing a project to produce electrical and switchboard equipment in the city of Korsakov in the Sakhalin Region. The company is part of the Cheboksary Electrical Equipment Plant (ChEEP), one of the leading Russian manufacturers of electrical equipment. According to the agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), the investor invests 120 million rubles in the project, and 100 jobs are created at the enterprise. The launch of the full production cycle is planned for 2030. The new production site will be used to manufacture high-tech and science-intensive products that are in demand in key sectors of the Far East – electric power, oil and gas, processing and mining industries. Placing the production base in the region will significantly reduce logistics costs, speed up delivery and increase the reliability of equipment in operation.
