Chinese cars were tested for reliability and frost resistance at the testing ground of a resident of the “Yakutia” ASEZ

Another round of climate testing was successfully completed at the NEFU Test Site, located in the “Yakutia” ASEZ. Since January 15, a team of Chinese engineers, together with specialists from North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU), have been testing Chinese-made vehicles for reliability and frost resistance, as well as transmission and engine performance during cold starts and while driving. The investment project to create the test site was implemented under an agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC).

"The Yakutian cold is a severe test for any equipment, especially foreign-made ones. Vehicles from Chinese manufacturers have long been on the regional market and are in high demand. NEFU plays a key role in this process, not only providing the testing grounds but also participating in all stages, ensuring the necessary testing conditions are met. The first cold starts were successful; all three vehicles started without any problems after a night in the cold. This demonstrates that this equipment is ready for sub-zero temperatures," shared NEFU Rector Anatoly Nikolaev.
