Large projects in the field of tourism and logistics will appear on “Bolshoi Ussuriysky” Island

The prospects for the development of “Bolshoi Ussuriysky” Island were discussed during the session “Islands of Russia. Unique opportunities for cooperation,” which took place on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum 2023. Deputy Head of the Ministry for Development of the Far East and Arctic Anatoly Bobrakov said that the Chinese side would take part in the development of the “Bolshoy Ussuriysky” Island: “This year we completed the formation of our negotiating position on the joint concept and presented it to our Chinese partners. We do not have any particular contradictions. We expect that this year we will sign a joint document approving the concept for the development of the “Bolshoi Ussuriysky” Island.” In 2013, a 960-meter-long bridge across the Amur Channel was built, connecting the island territory with the Khabarovsk agglomeration, which created the prerequisites for the comprehensive development of “Bolshoy Ussuriysky” Island and the implementation of private projects.
