Construction of a house under the rental housing program is underway in Kamchatka

In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, a comfort-class residential complex for 160 families is being built on Arsenyeva Street, 50% of the housing stock of which will be transferred to residents as part of the “Affordable Rental Housing in the Far Eastern Federal District” program, which is designed for specialists in in-demand professions. The Ministry of Eastern Development of Russia and DOM.RF are implementing the program jointly. This is the first project in the region implemented with the involvement of project financing from the bank. The house will be put into operation in September 2024. “This is one of the tools for creating the most comfortable conditions for residents of the Far East, ensuring the growth of their numbers, as well as attracting qualified personnel and retaining them locally. Apartment rental will be subsidized from the federal and regional budgets, or from an organization interested in the specialist. Apartments for specialists will be provided for long-term rent. This benefit will be available to university graduates who get a job at Far Eastern enterprises, as well as those who moved to the Far East from other regions of the country. Attracting qualified personnel to the cities of the Far Eastern Federal District and at the same time retaining them locally is an important condition for the rapid development of the macroregion. The implementation of the program “Affordable rental housing in the Far Eastern Federal District” helps to create the most favorable conditions both for developers who create a high-quality offer in the real estate market, and for credit institutions that finance the construction of comfortable housing for the Far Easterners,” says the First Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic Gadzhimagomed Guseynov.
