The Kamchatka Region hosted the grand opening of the region's first modern greenhouse complex with a year-round production cycle, located on the site of the “Zelenovskie Ozerki” agro-industrial cluster of the “Kamchatka” ASEZ. The fifth-generation greenhouses with a total area of 3.6 hectares, are designed to grow 1,200 tons of tomatoes and 1,600 tons of cucumbers per year. The new agro-industrial facility will meet the needs of the region's residents for vegetables by 60%, significantly increasing the peninsula's food security. According to the agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), about 2.5 billion rubles have been invested in the project, and 100 jobs will be created. The facility is provided with all the necessary infrastructure by FEDC. The modern complex is equipped with advanced technologies that allow growing fresh vegetables all year round. Energy-saving solutions, automated irrigation and climate control systems used in greenhouses ensure high yields. The project was implemented within the framework of the “Kamchatka” ASEZ regime, which provides businesses with tax breaks, administrative preferences, infrastructure support and land provision opportunities. "The Kamchatsky Greenhouse Complex is not only vegetables. It is new jobs, which means young specialists that our region needs so much. It is close cooperation with the educational block - the agricultural technical school. It is tax deductions and influence on the economy of Kamchatka Region. And, of course, it is a contribution to the health of every resident of Kamchatka," said Kamchatka Governor Vladimir Solodov.
