More than 100 government business support measures were presented in Kamchatka

A panel session, "State Support for Investment Activity: Introduction to Kamchatka Region Development Institutions," was held as part of the VI Sustainable Development Forum in Kamchatka. Representatives of government agencies and development institutions presented over 100 federal and regional support measures for businesses operating on the peninsula. The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) offers residents of priority development areas (ASEZs) and the Free Port of Vladivostok (FPV) key tools in attracting and supporting investors, including tax breaks, administrative incentives, and infrastructure and land support.

In her speech, Irina Shadrina, Acting Deputy Director for Resident Relations at the FEDC “Kamchatka”, explained that the FEDC “Kamchatka” is supporting 215 projects in the region, including 73 within the FPV and 142 within the “Kamchatka” ASEZ. More than 146.4 billion rubles of the planned 285.8 billion rubles have been invested in the region's economy, creating 11,800 jobs. Residents have access to significant tax benefits and preferences, including: zero land taxes for the first 3-5 years, zero property and profit taxes for the first 5 years, reduced rates on these taxes from the 6th to the 10th year of project implementation, as well as opportunities to provide land and infrastructure support (for ASEZ). The “Kamchatka” ASEZ’ investment sites—the “Zelenovskie Ozerki” and “Paratunka” tourism and recreation clusters—are actively developing, aimed at developing family recreation and tourism.

Irina Shadrina also noted that the FEDC provides businesses with information and marketing support aimed at highlighting and promoting investment projects, products, and services of residents of preferential regimes.
