A strategy for sustainable growth in the Far East population until 2036 will be discussed in Kamchatka during the XI All-Russian Demographic Conference

The 11th All-Russian Conference "Demographic Development of the Far East" will be held June 16–18, 2026, in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The event will serve as a key federal platform for discussing regional action plans for implementing the Far East Demographic Policy Strategy for the Period up to 2030 and for the Long-Term Perspective up to 2036, approved by the Government of the Russian Federation, and for achieving its target indicators.

The event is organized by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Government of Kamchatka Region and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC). Representatives of federal and regional government bodies, Russian development institutions, the scientific community, expert organizations, and public organizations will participate in the conference.

The main objective for the Demographic Conference participants will be to develop practical solutions for improving the mechanisms and instruments of demographic policy in the macro-region. Participants will discuss measures to support birth rates and families with children, health-preserving practices, creating conditions for increased migration and attracting students and qualified specialists to the region, and new tools for improving quality of life.
