The Forum in Yakutsk will discuss the potential of creative business “on hectares”

From May 29 to 31, 2025, the II International Forum of Creative Industries "Created in the Far East: from creativity to economics" will be held in Yakutsk. On the first day of its work, as part of the business program, a strategic session "Implementation of creative entrepreneurial projects in the Far Eastern and Arctic hectares" will be held, organized by the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) and the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) with the support of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA). The session will bring together government officials, entrepreneurs, curators of creative projects and ethnocultural activists from different regions of Russia. Participants will discuss how the “Hectare” program can become a tool for sustainable development, preserving local identity and forming new economic models in rural and remote areas. The session will be moderated by Georgy Burlakov, Chairman of the PRO_GOROD Forum Organizing Committee and founder of the international community of entrepreneurs Networking Club. "The discussion will examine examples of implemented projects "on hectares" in such areas as tourism, ethnocultural initiatives, gastronomy, museum business, creation of art residences, folk art festivals. The session participants will analyze what factors have become key to the success of these projects, and what support mechanisms are needed to scale up creative initiatives outside of megacities," said Yulia Tishchenko, Director of the Department for the Implementation of the “Far Eastern and Arctic Hectare” Project of the FEDC.
