The Forum in Kazan will sum up the results of the competition of projects to create a comfortable urban environment in the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District

The All-Russian Forum of Small Towns and Historical Settlements will be held in Kazan on August 19-21, 2025. The winners of the IV Competition for the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District will be announced at the Forum as part of the X All-Russian Competition of the Best Projects for Creating a Comfortable Urban Environment. In the Far East, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) supervise the implementation of state programs and federal target programs aimed at the comprehensive renovation of cities in the Far Eastern Federal District. The All-Russian Forum of Small Towns and Historical Settlements is a key event in the field of creating a comfortable urban environment. The platform traditionally brings together representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions, as well as leading specialists in the field of architecture, urbanism and design for discussion and development of new solutions. The selection of winning projects is based on a number of criteria: quality of architectural solutions, preservation of natural and historical identity, demand among residents, compliance with federal programs and expected socio-economic effect. Particular attention is paid to synchronizing projects with master plans of cities in the Far Eastern Federal District and national projects.
