Training of specialists in mining and forestry in the Far Eastern Federal District
Two new educational and industrial clusters will be created in the Far Eastern Federal District in 2024 as part of the federal project "Professionality": on the basis of the Magadan Polytechnic College and on the basis of the Buryat Polytechnic College (Selenginsk village).
The Magadan Polytechnic College, in partnership with regional educational institutions and enterprises of the real sector, will create an educational and industrial cluster to train specialists in the mining industry, transport and the electric power industry. 138.7 million rubles will be invested in the project, of which 100 million will be a federal grant.
The regional educational and industrial cluster will also include the Magadan Industrial College, the Mining College and the Construction and Technical College. Leading enterprises of the real sector of the economy will act as industrial partners.
In Buryatia, on the basis of the Polytechnic College, with the participation of the Selenginsky Pulp and Cardboard Plant, the Baikal Educational and Industrial Center for Accelerated Training of Timber Industry Specialists will be created. The total investment in the project will amount to 147 million rubles, of which 100 million are federal funds. On the basis of the Polytechnic College, 10 working zones for seven priority specialties will be created. They will be equipped with laboratories for design, chemical analysis and physical-mechanical testing. Students will be trained in such types of work as repair of electrical equipment, maintenance of vehicles, adjustment of instrumentation and control, metal processing. The implementation of the project will make it possible to provide the Selenginsky Pulp and Cardboard Mill with demanded specialists.
