The implementation of the Demographic Policy Strategy until 2036 was discussed in the Far East

The plenary session of the XI All-Russian Conference "Demographic Development of the Far East" "Strategy for State Demographic Policy of the Far East and a Draft Action Plan for its Implementation" was held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

The session was attended by Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic Elvira Nurgalieva, First Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Olga Batalina, Governor of Kamchatka Region Vladimir Solodov, Director of the Federal Autonomous Institution "Vostokgosplan" Mikhail Kuznetsov, representatives of federal and regional government bodies, and the expert community.

During the plenary session, participants discussed the implementation of the Far East Demographic Policy Strategy until 2030 with an outlook until 2036, improving support measures for families with children, maintaining public health, improving quality of life, developing education, and attracting talent.

Elvira Nurgalieva emphasized that the Far East remains the only federal district in Russia with a separate demographic development strategy, and the primary objective of state policy is to create conditions for sustainable growth in quality of life and population.

"The Far East has developed a comprehensive set of family support tools that covers all key stages of the family life cycle—from the birth of a child to housing, access to quality education, and access to healthcare. To date, over a million residents of the Far Eastern Federal District have benefited from the measures of the Far East demographic package. Thanks to these decisions, the district maintains birth rates above the Russian average, and the share of third and subsequent children reaches 35% of all births. Our goal is not only to maintain these achievements but also to ensure further improvements in quality of life through the development of social infrastructure, healthcare, education, modern cities, and the creation of opportunities for self-fulfillment for people in the Far East," noted Elvira Nurgalieva.
