A talent pool for the development of creative industries is being formed in the Far East

The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), together with the Arctic State Institute of Culture and Arts (ASICA), completed the professional retraining program "Creative Spaces Management." The in-person module in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky brought together over 100 managers and creative industry representatives from 11 regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. The training culminated in a public presentation of their projects, during which the teams presented models of new creative spaces—from community centers and workshops to educational platforms and clusters. Five regional groups trained management teams to further advance creative economy projects.

The projects were evaluated by representatives of development institutions, federal and regional government agencies, education, and creative businesses. The expert committee included Grigory Smolyak, Director of the Department of Social Development of the Far East and Arctic at the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East; Gasan Gasanbalaev, Executive Director of the FEDC for Social Development; Yulia Morozova, Chairperson of the Kamchatka Region Government; Oksana Gerasimova, Vice Governor of the Kamchatka Region; and Sargylana Ignatyeva, Rector of the Kamchatka State Institute of Culture and Arts. They noted that the proposed initiatives meet the needs of the regions and have the potential to become focal points for residents. Sargylana Ignatyeva emphasized that sharing experiences between regions strengthens each team and enables the scaling of successful practices.
