The «Bering Strait» International Festival was held on August 2-7 in Chukotka as part of the main events plan of the Russian Chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 2021-2023. The business program of the festival was devoted to the development of the tourism industry in the Russian North, as well as sustainable tourism and infrastructure improvement tasks. In addition to the business agenda, the festival program included sports competitions "Beringia Games" and a tour expedition around the region, as well as the Regatta on traditional leather canoes "Beringia-2022" and celebration of the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples on August 9th.
