An exhibition of photographs by the famous Soviet journalist Vladimir Bulanov has opened in Chukotka

In Anadyr an exhibition of works by the famous Soviet journalist, hero of the Great Patriotic War, and front-line intelligence officer Vladimir Antonovich Bulanov has opened in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory. The exhibition presents thirty unique photographs from the photo archive of the Russian news agency TASS. The initiator of the exhibition was the journalist's son, Anton Vladimirovich Bulanov. Support in organizing the exhibition was provided by the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District, the Ministry for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, the government of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, the resident of the “Chukotka” ASEZ - the “Beringpromugol” company, and TASS. "The photographs of Vladimir Antonovich Bulanov are a living history of Chukotka in the 1960s. He managed to convey the main thing - the spirit of the heroic era of the development of the North. Not many photographs have survived that show the daily life of our district in the 1950-1960s, the people who lived and worked here then. That is why the work on digitizing the photo archive is of such great importance to us. On behalf of all the residents of the district, I thank all the participants in this project. I am sure that the exhibition will generate great interest. This year is the 95th anniversary of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, and the opening of the exhibition is an important contribution to patriotic education!" - said Pavel Kargopolov, First Deputy Governor of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.
