A new workshop has opened in Chukotka to train in-demand specialists for regional businesses

A modern workshop has opened at the Chukotka Multidisciplinary College in Anadyr, with the support of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC). The new training facility focuses on drilling rigs. The workshop is equipped with specialized equipment, including a pneumatic drill simulator that simulates real-world drilling conditions.

"The new workshop is unique in the region. The installed simulator allows drilling skills to be practiced in conditions as close to real-life as possible. This is essential for training qualified personnel in demand in the region. The simulator features a cabin with full control mechanisms and screens instead of glass. Its functionality includes the ability to simulate emergency and non-standard situations: parameters are set by the teacher using a computer, the system records errors and generates a grade. The equipment is fully consistent with the technology used at enterprises in the district," commented Deputy Governor and Head of the Department of Education and Science of the Chukotka Autonomous District, Aruna Baykova.

According to Gasan Gasanbalaev, Deputy Director General of the FEDC for Social Development, the opening of modern workshops aims to provide the region with qualified personnel. The colleges' updated facilities and equipment allow them to train specialists with relevant competencies.
