In Chukotka a new AZRF resident is building social facilities using the public-private partnership investment mechanism

Under a public-private partnership agreement, the Government of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and the private investor Avivir LLC plan to construct a hospital for treating infectious diseases in the settlement of Ugolnye Kopi in 2022. Under an agreement with the Russian Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), ChukotSotsStroi LLC, the project contractor, will invest 1.5 million rubles in the project.

“We will bring in highly specialized doctors from Moscow and Saint Petersburg to work in the new medical center. They will work on a rotational basis. The subsidies will allow us to pay the doctors and other specialists good salaries, and as a result we will be able to bring in highly-skilled professionals. That will have a positive effect on the development of healthcare in the region as a whole,” Ivan Kostyolov, General Director of ChukotSotsStroi LLC stated.

The new resident also plans to construct another three social facilities: hotels in Ugolnye Kopi, a psychiatric and narcological wing for the regional hospital in Anadyr, and a district hospital in Provideniya, under a concession agreement as part of the Far Eastern Concession program. The company will be the general contractor.
